Ranch 1853 Terms and Conditions section 

                                                                                              “WARNING”

Under Maine law, an equine professional has limited liability for an injury or death resulting from the inherent risks of equine activities.” Me. Rev. Stat. tit. 7, § 4103-A

All Guests who take Trail Riders / Lessons Riders are advised we do not supply Helmets or Paddock boots those are the responsibility of the rider to provide.  We chose not to supply these items as a precautionary thing.  We feel multiple people using the same helmets and boots is insanitary. 

All visitors and guest and boarders are required to sign a release before being allowed in any area of the ranch that they may encounter the horses.

All recreational activities at the ranch require a 50% non refundable deposit paid at time of reservation.

All Training and board must be paid in full at time of drop off of the horse. These services are charged in 30 day increments in advance.

All Guests horse owners who have a horse in for training or board will have access to the barn and arena area from 9am to 9pm 7 days per week. (Provided Arena area has no pre scheduled activities going on or there is sufficient day light for arena use.)

Because we have limited Tack room space at this time it is advised to keep your tack in your possession bring it to the ranch each time you visit. If you chose to leave it in our tack area we take no responsibility 

for lost or stolen items. 

 You also agree and understand we have no liability for  any lost or stolen property left on ranch  property. 

We will in the normal course of ranch activity do our best to keep all livestock and personal property safe but make no guarantees.

You also agree that if you leave a horse on ranch property for training or as a boarder. If the need for emergency medical attention is needed  and you are not on property to take control of getting your horse emergency medical vet care you authorize Ranch 1853 Equine Sales and Service the authority to contact the vet you have on file. If for some reason the ranch or its employ are unable to reach your vet. You then are authorizing the ranch or its employ to contact the next closest vet for emergency care at your expense and hold the ranch harmless for any bills incurred.

You also agree to hold the ranch and its employ harmless for any injury to your horse that may occur  during training or in the normal course daily activity at the ranch.

As we all know and have experienced horses have a way of showing up with bumps scraps and injuries that are out of our control.

You also agree to provide current Coggins and vaccination records to be held on file for the duration of your horse stay at the ranch. You also acknowledge the ranch carries no medical or mortality insurance on a customers horse this is something if the owner wants must buy for themself. 

Ranch shop is open 11-4 most days and also by appointment and online store open 24/7. All online purchases are shipped with in 72 hours of purchase.
